July 13: Departure Day, Miami to Buenos Aires

July 14 & 15: Buenos Aires
Begin with two nights in Buenos Aires to get acclimated after the long journey. Engage in an in-depth orientation in preparation for the program, discussing group dynamics and planning for the adventures to come. Explore the capital’s vibrant culture by visiting markets and museums. Savor delicious Argentine cuisine, and learn about the roots of tango music and dance in the old immigrant neighborhoods of the 19th and 20th centuries.
July 16 & 17: El Calafate
On July 16, fly with your group to El Calafate. El Calafate is the jumping off point for Patagonian adventures. Explore the enormous Perito Moreno Glacier, and take a boat ride to watch as it calves chunks of ice into Lago Argentino.
July 18 – 25: Ushuaia
On July 18, fly to Ushuaia. Explore the hilly streets of the southernmost city of the world and gateway to the Antarctic. Savor the best of austral winter, skiing the slopes of Cerro Castor, snowshoeing and cross country skiing through the pristine forests of the southern Andes, and dog sledding across snowy meadows.
July 26: Travel Day, Ushuaia to Buenos Aires
Fly from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires. Enjoy a final meal together in Buenos Aires, then travel to the airport for your group’s overnight return flight.
July 27: Return Day, Buenos Aires to Miami
